ABOUT RALPH SCOCCIMARO

I arrived in Sylvester, Ga from San Diego, Ca in October of 1983 with $500.00 and a 1979 Ford LTD, which was promptly stolen in Atlanta during my first visit to that great city. After taking a bus back to Sylvester, I began working for the Migrant Project, Ga Legal Services in Tifton, Ga on a Ca. Bar license. Their work was almost all federal immigration litigation and Agricultural Workers Protection Act, so it didn\'t matter in what state I was licensed. Nevertheless, I passed the Ga Bar exam on the first attempt and continued working with Ga. Legal Services Corp. for another two years doing mostly consumer defense work. I then struck out on my own and later formed a partnership with Brown, Phillips and Scoccimaro, PC, later to become Brown and Scoccimaro, PC. It was in existence for over 30 years until Mr Brown was elected to the Lee County Superior Court bench. I’m now the Scoccimaro Law Group,P.C Our focus since our formation has been litigation of every variety, but for 20 years we have focused on trucking, automobile and medical negligence as well as workers compensation. We have achieved some terrific results both in and out of the courtroom. Most importantly, we’ve shown the insurance industry that we will take them “ to the mat” any time and anywhere. I have been an associate judge for the City of Albany, Municipal Court since 2004. My role as a judge has given me a unique perspective and has enhanced my litigation skills as a lawyer; most importantly, it has greatly improved my ability to be objective. I am married to the former Susan Wacaser of Bainbridge, Ga, a RN with Floyd Medical Center in Cedar Town, Ga. Our children, AnnaMarie,23, and Nicholas, 21, are graduates of St Teresa Catholic School,Albany, Ga and the Darlington School, Rome.
