ABOUT RALPH ORR
Ralph Orr is a senior aviation planning consultant at Arup. He has specialized in the planning, design and project management of airports, terminals and related aviation and airline support facilities since 1980. Since joining Arup in 2008, he has been involved in major terminal development projects in North, Central and South America, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. Prior to re-joining Arup, Mr. Orr was Director, Facility Projects for Air Canada and was responsible for the design and implementation of all of the airline’s construction projects, and liaison with airport authorities to ensure that their development plans met the airline’s operational requirements. This combined experience has provided Mr. Orr with a unique understanding of the need to accommodate the operational and commercial requirements of the airlines and their passengers both in the final design and the implementation staging, as well as the need for flexibility to accommodate changing technological, commercial, and legislative requirements. Specialties: Airport planning with particular focus on terminal programming, planning and project management.
