I was laid off from Flightsafety in 2020 due to the Covid 19 down sizing. Before the layoff, I was flying SIC in the Citation II and V full flight simulators in support of PIC initial and recurrent pilot training for Flightsafety in Long Beach. The Citation II sim has been upgraded with the Garmin GTN 650 and 750 GPS units. The Citation V has the Allied Signal GNS-XLS FMS system installed. I also instructed in the classroom the Citation II and V initial ground school classes as well as recurrent training in the classroom.I\'ve been in professional flight crew training for over 20 years, I\'m one of the few instructors who has worked for Lockheed, McDonnell Douglas and Boeing flight crew training departments. I also worked for Delta Airlines training their pilots. So my experience has been on jetliners and Flightsafety was my first exposure to business jets.I have a Commercial pilots license with Instrument and Multi-engine ratings, Basic, Advanced and Instrument Ground School instructor licenses and I have a Flight Engineer license with the Turbojet rating (L-1011 and B-727).One of my hobbies is building custom GMT pilot watches. My website is laid off I started to build myself some more GMT watches. This time, on a white dial, I printed the name of a business jet (Gulfstream). I showed it to my previous boss at FSI and he said he wanted one as he just got his G550 type rating.I posted a picture of his dial on LinkedIn and I immediately started to get inquires from pilots asking if I could build them a GMT watch with their jet name on the dial (Gulfstream, Boeing, etc.). So that\'s how I got started building custom GMT watches for other pilots.
