ABOUT RALF MATTHEWS

Ralf Matthews, born in 1977, started his career as an industrial electrician at the Murrelektronik GmbH. Regarding his daily work with engineering, he early decided to learn more about the functions and applications of automation products. Therefore he changed to the Erkert GmbH in Sulzbach/Murr where he had been gaining practical experience as a service technician in the fields of new engines, maintenance, and repair for 10 years. After that, Mr. Matthews returned to the Murrelektronik GmbH. He initially worked in the field of technical sales and distribution, later he became product manager. Taking a detour of a small middle- class company as COO, Mr. Matthews soon took the position as Deputy General Manager at the ELCO Industrie Automation GmbH. As such, he set up the German agency with responsibility for all of Europe. On April 1 in 2021, Mr. Matthews got appointed as CEO of the ELCO Industrie Automation GmbH. Mr. Matthews is member of the economic council of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany.
