My mission is to ensure that coaches are well-equipped to train athletes of all levels, ages, and genders effectively. Our programs support HYROX Youngstars, beginners, seasoned competitors, and high-performance athletes, as well as coaches training general fitness enthusiasts. How Did I Get Here?Over the past 30 years, I have coached elite pole vault and decathlon athletes, developing talent up to the Olympic level across Germany, England, South Africa, Qatar, and Singapore. I’ve collaborated with national and international sports organizations while sharing my expertise with students, coaches, and professionals worldwide. As a CoachI have mentored athletes from diverse backgrounds, guiding them from youth levels to Olympic success. Notable athletes I’ve worked with include Lars Börgeling (GER), Jamie Quarry (UK), and Elmarie Gerryts (RSA).Leadership at ASPIRE AcademyAt ASPIRE Academy in Qatar, I built the athletics section from scratch, leading a team of 14 coaches from 10 countries. Managing diverse coaching styles and personalities was a sport in itself, but we succeeded—one of our athletes, Mutaz Barshim, won multiple Olympic medals (2012–2020).As a Sports DirectorStepping out of my comfort zone in athletics, I became Performance Director for the German Volleyball Federation, overseeing both volleyball and beach volleyball. My role focused on developing high-performance structures, coaching strategies, and talent pathways for national teams. This experience reinforced my belief in long-term athlete development and strategic planning in elite sports. As a Sports ConsultantI worked with sports organizations, federations, and businesses to optimize performance environments. My expertise covered strategy development, business growth, corporate development, and performance planning, ensuring that organizations had the right frameworks to thrive in a competitive landscape. As a Senior LecturerI have lectured at private universities in Berlin, sharing my 30 years of industry experience with students. Teaching is more than delivering content—it’s about mentoring, challenging perspectives, and bridging the gap between theory and practice. No matter the role—coach, director, consultant, or educator—my passion remains the same: building pathways for high performance and athlete development.
