First and foremost, I\'m a proud father and husband. My wife Dru and I became college sweethearts during our time at Campbell University, and have been married over 23 years. I\'m blessed to have an amazing family, in which I try to lead by example daily to the best of my ability. They challenge me, humble me, and love me unconditionally. If I accomplish nothing more during my life, I hope to have left a legacy through them of humility, kindness and perseverance with a servant’s heart (and maybe a healthy dose of humor).Since 2002, I\'ve dedicated my professional life to helping others steward their wealth towards their mission and calling. Accumulating wealth should never be the ultimate goal. Instead, wealth is merely a tool to help fulfill whatever purpose and calling has been placed upon your life. I\'m a strong believer that until you can adequately understand your purpose, you are not prepared to manage your wealth effectively.In 2021, I founded Counterweight Private Wealth as a fee-only fiduciary, dedicated to providing an unrivaled experience to our clients. Doing so has been the greatest decision of my professional life and has enhanced the value and capabilities we provide. While our process has been established through years of navigating all types of financial circumstances, our advice and counsel will always seek to align with each one\'s unique purpose. What I love most is the deep relationships we forge with our clients. They come from all walks of life, ranging from entrepreneurs and executives, medical and dental professionals, widows, retirees, and business owners. The common thread is their shared passion to use their wealth to positively impact their families, their relationships, and their communities. Growing up on the eastern shore of Maryland, I was introduced to boating, fishing, and the outdoors at an early age. While I\'m only a mediocre fisherman and hunter, any downtime is likely spent enjoying the outdoors in hopes of one day fulfilling my dream of becoming a professional fishing / hunting guide.
