ABOUT RAKSHIT KHILNANI

I\'m a Product Designer with over 10 years of experience in visual and motion design, including 7 years in product design, specializing in human-centered solutions for complex problem spaces at startups and new ventures generally in a founding design role. I bridge the gap between user needs, engineering constraints, and business goals, crafting intuitive and impactful digital experiences, while also thinking long term with my leadership and process oriented team building skills. I hold a Master’s in Interaction Design from California College of the Arts and thrive in fast-paced, early-stage environments where I can drive innovation, strategy, and exceptional user experiences. With a background in Computer Engineering, I bring a unique technical mindset to design strategy, UX systems, and data visualization.At Potrero Labs, I lead end-to-end product design for Jams, an AI-powered video conversation content based social media app, driving UX research, UI design, branding, and innovative unique video editing workflows for content creators and influencers. Previously at Aclima, a pioneering climate-tech company, I designed complex data visualization tools for hyperlocal air quality monitoring across cities in New York and California, improving engagement and accessibility for governments and community organizations. As the founding Head of Design at BlackCab Studio, a multidisciplinary full stack agency, I scaled the agency from 0 → 15+ designers in my team (50+ employees), overseeing 100+ projects across UX, branding, video and digital marketing. I also spent substantial phases as a freelance product designer and art director, building products for 0 → 1 ventures and startups, and worked with global brands.
