ABOUT RAKSHIT KARIYA

I am currently working as an associate as part of Global Controllers team looking after Securities Services Line of Business. I have completed chartered accountancy (Indian CPA equivalent) with Financial services and Capital Markets as my specialization as well as all 3 levels of CFA (Charter Pending). I have worked indirectly with Startups in the past like Rooter and Probo as an early user and advisor on suggesting improvements in features to new addition in activities and rewards for the application users. I personally maintain a diversified global portfolio spreading investment in different asset classes from fixed income to equity and riskier asset classes like startups as well and strive to learn and improve my risk adjusted returns. I am passionate about Macro economics, Money and Monetary Policies, Understanding new businesses especially unit economics, History and Geopolitics, Behavioural finance & Psychology and I do like all the major sports like football, Cricket and Tennis but Cricket is my favourite naturally as an Indian and despite currently not playing actively I consider myself decent at analysing data and strategies used by teams which would help in deciding the outcomes of possible winners in global ICC tournaments and leagues. I do have strong opinions on few of the limited things in the world in which I have knowledge about however I am always curious and open to learn bit more about things especially if I am wrong.
