About Rakesh Chowdary MacHineni

I am a second-year master’s student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department, specializing in Computer Vision at the University of Michigan (U of M). I will be graduating in April 2023. I am looking for Full-time positions starting May 2023 in the areas of computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, and software development. I have 4+ years of research experience working with computer vision/deep learning models in python and C++. Currently, I am working as a research assistant at U of M designing novel deep learning frameworks for point cloud compression and video prediction. Prior to this, I worked as a computer vision research engineer (full-time) at Toshiba for two years developing machine learning algorithms for item classification, object detection, and segmentation. In my undergrad senior year, I published a research paper in the Computer Vision and Image Understanding journal as the lead author.
