1) Operate and manage all aspects of a SCADA-controlled Xytel pilot plant for the hydroprocessing of non-edible oils (e.g, jatropha, pongamia, used cooking oil, sunflower oil) into renewable fuels, utilizing Earth-abundant metal catalysts within a fixed-bed tubular reactor system.2) Perform both atmospheric and vacuum distillation of hydroprocessed products to isolate and recover biofuel fractions, including green naphtha, green diesel, and bio-jet fuel.3) Monitor and control a hydrogen generation unit (30 Nm³/hr capacity) in accordance with experimental parameters and process demands.4) Record, analyze, and interpret critical plant parameters such as reactor temperature and pressure, weight hourly space velocity (WHSV), hydrogen-to-hydrocarbon (H₂/HC) ratio, liquid feed rates, and separator levels.5) Utilize iFIX SCADA software for real-time monitoring, process control adjustments, and optimization of product yields.6) Execute plant startup, shutdown, and troubleshooting procedures using Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to maintain safe and continuous operations.7) Operate and maintain key plant utilities, including internal compressors, pressure separators, reciprocating pumps, and back-pressure regulators.8) Assist in catalyst handling operations, including catalyst loading, unloading, and sulfidation, while strictly adhering to safety standards and operational protocols.9) Contribute to process optimization efforts and support the implementation of plant modifications aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and product performance.

ABOUT RAJNISH KUMAR

Chemical engineering graduate with hands-on experience operating a SCADA-controlled Xytel pilot plant for converting non-edible oils into renewable fuels. Skilled in process monitoring, hydrogen generation, and product distillation, I’ve worked with fixed-bed reactors, Earth-abundant metal catalysts, and iFIX SCADA systems. I’m experienced in plant startup/shutdown, troubleshooting, and process optimization, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. I\'m now aiming to apply this practical knowledge in a process design engineering role to support sustainable energy solutions
