Assist in the evaluation of tender documents submitted by potential contractors or vendors, ensuring compliance with project requirements. Review technical proposals to ensure alignment with the specifications and objectives of the HPSEBL Smart Metering Project. Evaluate cost breakdowns and ensure the financial proposals are reasonable and within budget. Assist in risk assessment related to tender submissions, identifying potential issues with selected vendors or contractors. Prepare evaluation reports summarizing findings from document reviews, highlighting any discrepancies or concerns for further discussion. Supervise and monitor the installation of smart meters and related infrastructure in the designated areas. Ensure compliance with technical standards and safety regulations during installation. Provide guidance on the proper installation of smart meters, ensuring that they are set up to communicate with the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). Provide technical consultancy to the HPSEBL team, contractors, and other stakeholders on smart meter installation, troubleshooting, and integration with existing infrastructure. Ensure that the installation process aligns with the RDSS technical guidelines and best practices. Perform field-level inspections to ensure that all equipment and installations meet the required specifications and quality standards. Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure that the correct materials and equipment are used during the installation process. Act as a liaison between HPSEBL, PwC, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless coordination and communication during the implementation of the smart metering project. Provide regular updates to the Project Manager and other senior team members regarding the progress, issues, and solutions in the field.
