In this role, I led the certifications and attestation team to ensure protection of organization’s global intellectual property and customer data. Mitigating risks of financial/reputational loss by pre-empting potential threats, prioritizing asset/infrastructure upgrades, implementing security controls, and imparting training to align organization-wide focus on Information Security (IS), constituted my primary KRAs. I formulated, implemented, and ensured adherence to SOPs pertaining to compliance management, certification processes, security controls, incident response & management, and training & development. Key Certifications & Attestations: HITRUST PCI DSS SSAE18, SOC1 Type2 & SOC2 Type2 Some of my significant accomplishments and projects here have been: PCI DSS Certification, 2024; steered end-to-end operations for gathering & presenting evidence for 500+ controls to the 3rd party auditor within stringent timelines. Replicated similar initiatives for SOC Attestation, 2024 involving 350+ controls and HITRUST certification, 2024 involving 332 controls. Commended for enabling strategic decision-making by formulating and presenting dashboards and metrics for all attestations, certifications, and associated tasks – earlier non-existent leading to ambiguity and misaligned security focus. Trusted to lead firefighting operations regarding End of Life (EOL) and End of Service (EOS) assets for PCI DSS as per the Vulnerability Assessment (VA) report; maintained a delicate balance between limited budget, adherence to compliance, and sustainability. Saved the organization multimillion dollars by identifying low-cost vendors from India and Philippines; renegotiated contracts, influenced senior management for buy-in, and enabled financial efficiencies by arriving at a win-win scenario. Enhanced visibility and transformed image of the team; proved instrumental in garnering accolades, resources, and budget from senior leadership.
