About Rajiv P.
Raj Patel is the Senior Leader for the Boeing South Carolina Engineering Design Center. He is responsible for Engineering workforce strategy for Boeing South Carolina, which includes the several rotation and development programs, managing work statement from the three major business units and accelerating Engineering’s role in the Boeing Lean Production System.Prior to this role, Patel was the design leader for the 787 Electrical/Equipment Design Team. He also is a graduate of Productivity Leadership Development Program (PLDP).Patel joined Boeing in as an Electrical Engineer on Space Station & Shuttle Program. He has worked in various leadership roles in Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), including the senior leader for the Operational Excellence group within Manufacturing, where he supported all programs in optimizing their production systems, supply chains and early program proposal capture teams. During his career, he was named a NASA Space Flight Honoree and received a NASA Team Medal. In 2015, the American Society of Engineers of Indian Origin awarded him an Engineering Excellence Award for his accomplishments as an Engineer.He holds a Master’s in Business Management from Rollins College, a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from University of Central Florida, and certificates in Project Management, Agile Scrum, Lean, and Six Sigma. He is a Lego enthusiast and coaches a FIRST robotics team. In 2020, he was named South Carolina Coach of the Year by the South Carolina FIRST Organization.
