The ISS Institute Fellowship programs explicitly recognise that specialised skill and knowledge gaps exist within Australian industry and that there is a need to create a more responsive, innovative, industry driven approach to up-skilling of the Australian workforce for the global marketplace. Rajiv’s fellowship allowed him to travel to Helsinki and Oulu to research and report the measurement of learning and assessment issues faced by educators in Finland. A report comparing the outcomes was produced in 2016 and is referred both by the current researchers and the practitioners to understand the changes required in the assessment and evaluation practices.
