About Rajesh Soni

Geophysicist with diverse experience of working with a petroleum super-major TOTAL SA and with a smaller, fast-growing company Cairn India Ltd. Having acquired broader skill sets in both Exploration and Field Development domain, my focus area includes Rock Physics, Reservoir Characterization (QI), Seismic Inversion, Seismic Interpretation, and Geomodeling. I have keen interest in the field of Data analysis and Product Development. In different roles, I executed many projects, with a strong focus on seismic interpretation and QI, regional play analysis, prospect generation and maturation, and opportunity evaluation. My previous responsibilities included Seismic Interpretation, assisting the various asset teams (Onshore and Offshore) for prospect derisking, well placement, reserve estimation, and using seismic data as a constraint in reservoir modeling which made a significant impact on well placement and static model building.Specialties: Rock Physics, Reservoir Geophysics, Reservoir Characterization, Geomodeling, Seismic Inversion, Seismic Interpretation. Well-versed in many software packages including Petrel, Geolog, ROKDOC, Hampson-Russel, Jason etc.
