I am appointed as President and Managing Director of Isuzu Motors India Pvt. Ltd. and President and Director of Isuzu Engineering Business Centre India Pvt. Ltd. Isuzu has global presence in more than 150 countries. In Sri City near Chennai, pick up cars & CVs are manufactured for global as well as Indian markets. Elected member of CII south region council as well CII TamilNadu state council. Member of SIAM Executive Committee.Prior to this in 2021, I worked at UD Trucks Corporation, Japan as SVP Logistics. My task was to create a more resilient and sustainable supply chain. I was Chairman of UD Trucks India Private Limited. I am a qualified Independent Director from the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs and worked as an independent director on the Board of Rajratan Global Wires between 20••••25. Since 2016, I was Senior Vice President - Purchasing Quester and Croner for UD Trucks Corporation. I led companies product cost program which played a crucial role in the financial turn around of UD Trucks by the year2019. Subsequently in April 2021, UD trucks was acquired by Isuzu group. I was part of separation activities of manufacturing and purchasing from Volvo group and integration activities at Isuzu.Prior to this, I completed a two year assignment in China; as Senior Vice President-Manufacturing and Quality, at Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles. As Head of Manufacturing, I was responsible for 14 plants with capacity of 200K trucks per annum - number of employee were In addition, I was appointed to the Boards of four of the subsidiaries of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles: Chairman for Forging and Transmission company, Director for Dana Axle & Dongfeng Bus. I also led the Green Field project: Volvo designed 14 speed gear box plant.Earlier, I was Head of Manufacturing operations for Eicher Trucks, Buses and Engine for all three plants of VE Commercial Vehicles Limited at Pithampur. In addition, I was head for green field engine project of Volvo group, at VECV Pithampur. Euro 6 version long block exported to Volvo group worldwide. Plant successfully started production in July 2013.I started my career with Hindustan Motors in 1985 (technical collaboration with Isuzu Motors, Japan). For seven years, I worked in green field project dealing with engines and transmissions. After that, in 1992, I joined the Eicher group and has served as head of manufacturing at Eicher Engineering Components, Thane. After successful turnaround of this sick unit, I relocated to Eicher’s commercial vehicles business – Eicher Trucks and Buses in the year 1992.
