Was responsible for management, operation & maintenance of Railway Signalling and Telecom systems in Mumbai Suburban section and main line. Brought in improvement in train operation with planned integrated maintenance works, timely replacement of aging assets. Commissioned/ re-engineered Route Relay, panel interlocking Automatic Signalling and Auxiliary Warning Systems. Project Management Consultancy for Signalling, Telecom and ICT in HORC Railway line including system design, plans, preparation, approval and finalising RFP for Haryana Govt.2. Telecom/ ICT/ Smart CityAs founding member of RailTel, started Western Region operation in Oct’ 2001 and spearheaded for 16 yrs including Director and CMD for 10 years. The OFC telecom network along Railway route was created to successfully facilitate Govt. objective of countrywide growth in mobile telephony for all Telco’sRailTel Diversified into Enterprise segment and Govt projects. Created NKN (National Knowledge Network) and undertook district/block/Panchayat OFC connectivity in North East states and Gujarat under USOF/ NOFN/ DoT. Further diversified in ICT projects and System Integration (SI) and managed ICT for ESIC, EPFO and IR. with Google enabled countrywide Wi-Fi roll-out, largest worldwide. Oracle recognizes RailTel in their Global platform for successfully implementing ERP in 11 months across all verticals.RailTel was granted Mini Ratna status by Govt. in 2012 and became debt free in 2014. Capital infusion in network infrastructure, data centre etc. induction of trained Human Resources, innovative business strategy and customer delight, led to turn-around of RailTel.Planned and built up Gurugram Smart city with integrating all civic/ public services, city safety/ surveillance cameras, Traffic Management, public grievance and committed redressal etc.
