About Rajeev Joshi

I currently work with the Automated Reasoning Group at Amazon Web Services, applying formal verification tools to make Amazon services more secure and reliable.Previously, I was a researcher with the NASA/JPL Laboratory for Reliable Software (LaRS) looking at the theory and application of formal verification methods and tools to mission software. Besides doing research with LaRS, I was also a member of the flight software development team for the Curiosity rover, which landed on Mars in August 2012. I served as the engineer responsible for the design and implementation of the spacecraft data management system and high-level communication behaviors. After landing, I worked on the Surface Operations team, in the role of Data Management Chair.I served as the Chief Engineer for Flight Software and Avionics Systems at JPL, and was also the software co-architect for the Europa Clipper mission to Jupiter\'s moon Europa (launch: 2024), and a software/systems engineer for the Mars 2020 rover (landed on Mars: 18 Feb 2021).I am an elected member (and current Chair) of IFIP Working Group 2.3 on Programming Methodology.
