ABOUT RAJEEV CHOUDHARY

I am currently serving as Professor and Head, School of Studies in Physical Education; Head, School of Studies in Law; Joint Proctor; Public Relations Officer; and Dean, Students’ Welfare at Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India, with over two decades of experience in higher education encompassing teaching, research, university administration, student welfare, and sports leadership. I hold advanced academic qualifications including D.Litt, Ph.D, M.Phil, M.P.E, B.P.E, NET & JRF (UGC), along with postgraduate diplomas in Yoga & Meditation, Yoga & Naturopathy, and Yoga & Psychotherapy, and I am a DAAD Fellowship recipient (Germany) and Black Belt Diploma holder in Judo (2nd Dan). I have published 121 research papers indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and PubMed, guided 24 Ph.D. scholars, completed four sponsored research projects (UGC, CGCOST, AIIMS), published 17 books, and contributed 34 book chapters. I regularly conduct faculty development programmes, workshops, and training sessions on research methodology, applied statistics, yoga, and meditation, and have delivered over lectures in UGC HRDC/MMTTC programmes, more than 100 lectures each at international and national conferences, and over 800 online lectures. Alongside academics, I have held key leadership roles including Former Dean, Faculty of Physical Education; Former Head, School of Studies in Physical Education; Former Chairman, Central Board of Studies; and Former Chairman, Board of Studies, and earlier served as Lecturer at LNIPE Gwalior, Principal at SSPCPE (Sardar Patel University), Assistant Professor at Banaras Hindu University, and Associate NCC Officer at BHU. I have international academic exposure as Visiting Professor at Jan Dlugosz University, Poland, and Trier University of Applied Poland, and Trier University of Applied Sciences, Germany, and through academic visits to Sri Lanka, Singapore, Poland, and Germany. My contributions have been recognized with major honors including the “Best Teacher Educator–2019” Award from the National Council for Teacher Education (Government of India), the “Chanakya Award for Best Teacher Educator–2025” from the Indian Institute of Teacher Education (Government of Gujarat), the Lifetime Achievement Award from the PEFI, Professor of the Year awards, and other national and international recognitions. A former inter-university athlete and team captain in Judo, Kabaddi, and Wrestling, I have represented universities at All India/Inter-Varsity levels, won a Bronze Medal in the All India Inter-University Judo Championship.
