About Rajeev Bhide
Over last twenty three years, has worked on several oncology and immunology programs at Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. Led the chemistry group that discovered the VEGFR2 inhibitor, Brivanib Alaninate®, that showed good efficacy in phase clinical trials of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Received Thomas Alva Edison patent award from the R&D Council of New Jersey for Brivanib Alaninate®. Earlier work on farnesyl transferase inhibitors led to the identification of the clinical candidate BMS-214662. Recipient of chemistry department’s scientific leadership award for the discovery of a novel chemotype for a kinase program. Proven ability to work successfully in multi-disciplinary groups and flexibility to contribute in program leadership, chemistry synthesis, structure- based drug design and small library syntheses.
