About Rajat Agarwal
I am an officer of the Indian Railway Accounts Service working at the intersection of public finance, digital governance, and large-scale public systems. I hold undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Delhi. My work spans financial policy, commercial strategy, and technology-led transformation in Indian Railways, including fare rationalization, frameworks, enterprise IT architecture, and digital payment systems. I have also led technology initiatives for national platforms such as Ayushman Bharat and CoWIN, and contributed to the rollout of e-RUPI.
