About Rajat Sen

I am a Research Scientist at Google. I work on time-series forecasting in general, currently excited about creating Gen AI foundation models for the time-series modality. Our work on long-term forecasting is used in GCP to serve enterprise customers who are interested in fast, scalable and accurate demand forecasting for different horizon sizes. I am also interested in online learning, robustification of ML algorithms and deep learning practice+theory in general.I was an Applied Scientist at Amazon Search till November 2020. At Amazon, I was a part of team MIDAS lead by Inderjit Dhillon where I was fortunate to collaborate with Sujay Sanghavi, Arya Mazumdar, Alexander Rakhlin and Lexing Ying. I worked on various topics including extreme multi-label learning for search and contextual bandit problems with enormous number of arms.I obtained my PhD. at UT Austin, where I was lucky to be advised by Dr. Sanjay Shakkottai. During my time at UT Austin, I have also had the pleasure of working with Dr. Alex Dimakis.More info at: https://rajatsen91.github.io/
