ABOUT RAJANI KARUTURI

I’m Rajani — a former IT professional who traded code for compost and never looked back… well, almost.Truth is, I did miss technology. And today, I’m in the beautiful place where AI gives me an adrenaline rush while soil biology keeps me grounded, centered, and connected to something much bigger than myself.Born into a farming family and a lifelong gardener, I’ve always believed that soil is more than a growing medium — it’s a living, breathing universe. Working with it feels like a spiritual practice, a reminder of how deeply nature holds us.After leaving my IT career, I founded Pranic Soil LLC, where I work with farmers, gardeners, and land stewards transition from conventional to regenerative practices using biology-first, microbe-centered approaches. I’m trained as a Soil Food Web lab technician under Dr. Elaine Ingham and now in consultant training, with hands-on expertise. My work spans India, Rwanda, Belize and the U.S, from a backyard food forests to thousands of acres along with regenerative research collaborations.I also explore the intersection of technology and soil health — leveraging generative AI, data, and computer vision to create tools that empower growers with context-rich, location-specific insights. Whether it’s building RAG-based advisory systems, capturing and analyzing field images, or designing farmer-friendly tools, I love merging Earth wisdom with modern innovation.When I’m not in the field or the lab, you’ll find me sailing, hiking summits, traveling the world, or speaking at community events about empowerment, soil literacy, and reconnecting with nature.My mission is simple:Help regenerate soil, strengthen communities, and bring science, spirituality, and technology into harmony — one farm at a time.
