ABOUT RAJA BELLA HICKS
I am committed to making the world a better place. As a recent graduate in Diplomacy and World Affairs, I aspire to create meaningful change in my community through foreign policy. As a Barack Obama Scholar, I have refined my leadership skills and commitment to a career in public service. Through various internships I have gained in-depth knowledge on international affairs, specifically on multilateralism. As a member of the policy team at the UK Mission to the United Nations, I’ve worked directly on resolution negotiations and led on UK-hosted events. This experience combined with my experience in South Africa at a well-known think tank, have given me strong research and writing experience, preparing me for a career in public policy. Finally, through my various experiences I’ve proven to be a leader and change maker on and off campus. Winning “Best Contribution to Intellectual Life Outside the Classroom”, I am always looking for ways to be involved in my community. I served as VP of major association, executive board member of the largest student club on campus, a community dance teacher, and a teaching assistant. My undergraduate career has shaped my thinking and prepared me to work for meaningful change in the world, with people at the center.
