ABOUT RAJ S.

I’m an electrical engineer with 7+ years of experience across nuclear and aerospace programmes — two of the most technically demanding and safety-critical engineering environments in the UK.On the nuclear side, I served as Electrical Systems Engineer on the Rolls-Royce Small Modular Reactor (SMR) programme in Derby, where I was System Owner for four plant-wide engineering deliverables: the Load Schedule, Cable Schedule, Cable Sizing Methodology and Cable Specification. I developed the Cable Sizing Methodology from first principles (IEC 60364 and BS7671), performed ETAP power system studies for LV/MV distribution design, and used IBM DOORS for requirements capture and traceability across the programme.On the aerospace side, I have spent 6+ years on Airbus programmes — A320, A330, A340 and A350 — specialising in ESI functional electrical design. As ESI Cluster Leader at Airbus UK, I led teams delivering Principle Diagrams (PDs), Wiring Diagrams (WDs) and Extended Principle Diagrams (EPDs) using Capital Logic and SEE-XP, Assembly drawings, Harness drawings, Bracket design. Managing work packages with full budget and milestone accountability and leading Technical Review Meetings across design, stress and manufacturing disciplines.I hold an MSc in Engineering Management (Distinction) from the University of York — IET-accredited — and a BEng in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (First Class). I am currently pursuing Chartered Engineer (CEng) registration with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
