ABOUT RAJ SAHONTE
I have a traditional chancery workload. This presents as a significant amount of both contentious and non-contentious probate work including court of protection work. In addition, and underpinning the probate work, there is a core of real estate litigation, both in the commercial and residential field. Both in and outside the probate field I deal with the broad range of equitable relief that a busy real estate work load engenders including rectification, proprietary estoppel, constructive & implied trusts and the like. The last decade of my work has seen the development of an increasing workload concerning public rights over land which includes work from private and public landowners and this involves hearings in Court and at Public Inquiries over highway rights, town & village greens and rights over commons. I have conducted numerous public inquiries into village green and highway rights. I am a member of IPROW. I speak Punjabi and Hindi/Urdu. I have an interest in asiatic affairs and have been admitted to FRAS.
