ABOUT RAIYAN RUBAB
Hi! My name is Raiyan Rubab, but you can call me Rai Set to graduate with a Hons. BSc in Integrated Sciences, a certificate in the language of medicine and health, and a minor in Psychology in June 2025 from McMaster University. My professional journey started when I moved to Canada in 2019 in the hospitality and customer service industry. Beginning in 2021, I started pursuing my undergraduate degree at McMaster University while volunteering for many academic causes ranging from mental health research to peer reviewing for symposiums. Presently, in my fourth year, I work as a research information systems assistant and a research assistant for my university while continuing to volunteer as a research assistant, peer reviewer, and crisis responder. In the short term, I plan on expanding my professional life to gain a variety of experiences in the clinical and mental sphere and then moving on to higher education. I aim to leverage my interest and diverse experience in mental health towards a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, with hopes of obtaining a Post-Doctoral fellowship in psychometric assessments someday. My ultimate goal is to contribute to the betterment of the Ontario mental healthcare system by supporting and reforming its operations. In my free time, you can find me enjoying nature either through hiking, reading by the window, plant care, or short getaway day trips. Food is always a part of every experience!
