ABOUT RAINER FRIEDEL
My professional interests are the future-oriented rural areas and the agriculture, which the mankind needs to live and to survive. Herein I see a huge potential for innovation as well as an anchor point to the preservation of traditions. Thematically, I deal with the economic, social and ethical aspects of agriculture and its affiliated industries such as food production, renewable energy and use of sustainably produced agricultural materials. Methodologically, my work focuses on the certification in the areas of ecology, sustainability and social standards, and the training of people in the companies using certificates and the certification bodies performing the certification process. My knowledge I pass on in teams of experts, in my books and in lectures at various universities.
