Oversaw and successfully managed multiple projects across multiple disease areas including cancer, kidney, neurodevelopmental, gastrointestinal, infectious and rare diseases. Effective problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills as evidenced by the characterization of the molecular mechanism of a rare cystic fibrosis-like disease due to mutations in the SLC12A2 gene (OMIM# 619083). Developed mouse models and 3D organoids cultures to test different hypothesis. Managed 5 students, 2 staff scientists. Published 12 peer-reviewed manuscripts.
