About Vinay Raikar

With 18+ years of experience in automotive powertrain engineering, including electric vehicles, I am a data scientist who applies data analytics and machine learning to optimize vehicle performance and efficiency. I have a master\'s degree in engineering data analytics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and I am skilled in Azure Databricks, mechanical engineering, and thermal system design.In my most recent role as a senior data scientist at Dana, I worked on data analytics and machine learning applications for vehicle electric powertrain, focusing on battery, motor, and eAxle systems. In my previous work places I have used physics simulations to model and correlate the powertrain components and systems, in development and to identify and troubleshoot issues. I also developed and validated CAE methods and models for thermal and lubrication analysis, and supported the design optimization and testing of the powertrain cooling system. My passion is to leverage data science to enhance the sustainability and reliability of the mobility solutions and ultimately reduce CO2 emissions.
