About Rahul Gollapudi

I received my master’s in aerospace engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). I became passionate about science and technology in high school which led me towards engineering. During my first industry training, I discovered my interest in control systems and cross-functional engineering eventually worked on longitudinal stability control (PID, LQR, LQG) design for UAV, missile guidance and target capture for my master’s final project and working as Autonomous technologies intern with LHP engineering solutions.My fascination towards control theory grew during my master’s and I recognized its importance in Aerospace and Automotive fields. Later I found that LHPU is offering hands-on experience on control systems which is very important to bridge the gap between theoretical and practical knowledge, so I decided to join with the LHPU team. Now I had hands-on experience in Embedded control systems, Sensors, and Model-based design & control. During the time with LHP, I used MATLAB, Simulink, Python, ROS, OpenCV, various calibration, validation, and testing tools to develop the control systems and sensor fusion technology for autonomous electric vehicles. Along with these skills, I also explored the ISO 26262 functional safety and applied them to the projects I worked on with LHP. Apart from my engineering work, I enjoy doing numismatics and playing cricket.
