ABOUT RAHUL SINGH

Rahul is an Environmentalist with over six years of experience in environmental consultancy and sustainability. He currently serves on the Sustainability team at Export Development Canada (EDC), Canada’s Export Credit agency. Before joining EDC, Rahul spent over four years at the Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL), a prominent public sector enterprise specializing in environmental engineering and providing consultancy and engineering services. During his tenure, Rahul contributed to a wide range of projects across several sectors. He specializes in Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), Environmental Management Plans (EMP), E&S risk management, air quality control, water and wastewater management, cleantech integration, sustainability strategies, and GHG/ emission management. He has hands-on experience conducting environmental and social fieldwork, including the systematic monitoring and analysis of air, water, noise, and soil quality, ensuring regulatory compliance. He is adept at integrating environmental and social considerations into project planning and execution, in alignment with national regulations and international standards and frameworks.He has completed a Master of Engineering (M.Eng) in Environmental Engineering from the University of Ottawa.
