Working at Western Coalfields Ltd, Nagpur- a subsidiary of Coal India Ltd, I am responsible for acquiring land for mining and allied activities through various legal frameworks, including the CBA (A&D) Act, 1957, RFCTLARR Act, 2013, and direct negotiations. My role also involves obtaining forestry clearances and managing forest land diversion in compliance with the Forest Rights Act, 2006, and Forest Conservation Act, 1980. I am actively looking after Rehabilitation and Resettlement of the project-affected people, especially of whose livelihood is affected due to land acquisition, in accordance with company policies, statutes and social principles. Additionally, I manage disputes, grievances, and litigation arising from the land acquisition process. As a representative of the company to general public as well as Government machinery in the State of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, I handle a crucial and challenging task of safeguarding the company\'s interests in obtaining land resource, while managing the critical and complex dynamics that result in the land acquisition process.
