ABOUT RAHUL SAHU
Rahul Sahu has completed his Ph.D.(2025) in Operations and Supply Chain Management from the Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. His doctoral dissertation, titled “Uncertainty Aversion Biases and Sustainability Practices in Textile Supply Chain,” investigates how risk aversion and ambiguity aversion influence suppliers’ sustainability practices decisions. Grounded in behavioral operations theory, his research adopts a mixed-methods empirical approach—combining qualitative case studies with quantitative methods such as surveys and lab experiments—to offer a comprehensive understanding of sustainable supply chain practices and decision-making under uncertainty.He has presented his research at leading international conferences, including POMS, DSI, and IPSERA, across India, the USA, France, and Spain. He was a finalist for the Best Paper Award at the 55th DSI Annual Conference, 2024 and received a bursary award for IPSERA 2023. In 2025, he was selected as a fully funded visiting research scholar at the University of Udine, Italy. His work aims to bridge theory and practice in building sustainable and resilient supply chain.
