Software Engineer on the Snowflake Traffic & Networking Team handling Snowflake\'s ingress, egress, internal networking, and domain management.Key responsibilities- Set up and maintain infrastructure to support Snowflake\'s ingress and egress- Ensure requests are routed correctly to the variety of Snowflake products- Investigate and resolve a variety of networking issues- Operational duties such as on-callKey accomplishments- Instituted black box monitoring into the various ingress routes including Public and PrivateLink on all three cloud providers (AWS, Azure, and GCP) allowing Traffic team to catch hundreds of issues- Led the migration from Nginx to Envoy for GCP PSC (PrivateLink). Saved tens of thousands of dollars and provided better network performance for customers- Led a multi-month investigation into networking issues when traffic was migrated onto Envoy. Identified and fixed the issue unblocking the migration.
