I’m Rahul Rajpal, a lead software and AI engineer with over a decade of experience building, scaling, and operating production-grade systems across cloud, data, and application platforms.My background is rooted in full-stack and backend engineering, where I’ve owned end-to-end system design—from distributed services and APIs to cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. I’ve worked extensively with Node.js, React, Angular, and AWS, with a consistent focus on reliability, performance, and long-term maintainability rather than short-term feature delivery.In recent years, I’ve intentionally expanded into Artificial Intelligence engineering, combining strong software fundamentals with applied Machine Learning and Deep Learning. I work across the AI lifecycle—data preparation, feature engineering, model development, evaluation, and integration into production systems—using Python-based workflows, modern ML libraries, and tools such as Jupyter Notebook and Google Copilot. My emphasis is on building AI systems that are testable, observable, and scalable in real-world environments.I bring experience operating at a senior scope: owning complex components, influencing architectural decisions, mentoring engineers, and partnering with product and stakeholders to translate ambiguous problems into well-defined technical solutions. I value clear trade-offs, rigorous thinking, and designs that scale with both data and organizational growth.Currently, I work at UsefulBI Corporation as a Lead Software Engineer, where my responsibilities align closely with senior and early staff-level expectations—system ownership, architectural influence, and cross-team collaboration. In my next career move, I’m intentionally targeting Senior AI Engineer roles within FAANG or FAANG-like organizations, with a clear path toward Staff or Principal responsibilities based on impact and technical judgment.I’ve grown by consistently identifying gaps—whether in algorithms, system design, communication, or applied ML—and closing them through focused learning and hands-on application. That discipline continues to guide my progression toward higher-impact AI engineering roles in large-scale, high-bar environments.
