About Rahul Potera
I have 18 years of experience in wide bandgap power semiconductor devices based on Silicon Carbide (SiC) and Gallium Nitride that enable high-performance and high-efficiency power electronics, with a focus on SiC. My mission is to develop and deliver innovative and reliable power devices for high-voltage switched mode applications, such as power supplies, inverters, converters, and chargers, for the energy transition away from fossil fuels. I am passionate about the role of semiconductors in this imperative, enabling generation as well as management of clean and abundant energy.I have contributed to multiple patents, publications, and funding proposals as a primary inventor or principal investigator, demonstrating my expertise and creativity in device design, modeling, ESD, TCAD, and device characterization. I have also championed RD & E processes for ISO certification and provided technical sales support, demonstrating my leadership and communication skills. I am an senior member and a gold medalist from NIT Calicut. I have a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Rutgers University.
