About Rahul Paul

As a Consulting Member of Technical Staff at Oracle, I design, architect, and implement RESTful backends for Oracle Internet of Things (IoT) SaaS applications, using Java and Python. I have been working at Oracle for over seven years, leading the development of Fleet Monitoring and Shipment Monitoring applications, part of the Oracle IoT suite of products.I have a strong background in developing high-performance, distributed, and fault-tolerant systems for various domains, including algorithmic trading, simulations, and big data. I previously worked at Deep Value Inc, a boutique algorithmic trading firm, for four years, building systems for algorithmic and high-frequency trading. I hold a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics & Computing from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT-KGP), one of the most prestigious engineering institutes in India. I also have a US patent for an algorithm for location aggregation and detachment detection for shipment monitoring.
