About Rahul Mitra
Rahul Mitra (PhD, Purdue University) is Director of Graduate Studies and an Associate Professor of organizational communication at Wayne State University. He is also the Editor-Elect (20••••29) for the Journal of Applied Communication Research, published by the National Communication Association. His current research includes organizing environmental resources (e.g, water security, environmental risk management, corporate social responsibility), entrepreneurship (especially in urban ecosystems), and workforce development (e.g, professionalism, meaningful work). Dr. Mitra is an expert in qualitative methods, such as ethnography, interviews, focus groups, discourse analysis, photo-elicitation and arts-based methods. His research has appeared in several peer-reviewed journals and been funded by entities such as the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, Environmental Protection Agency, Great Lakes Protection Fund, and Waterhouse Family Institute.
