About Rahul Majumdar
Born and raised in India, within a bilingual family and now living in NYC, Rahul Majumdar’s work centers around the themes of belonging/un-belonging, human desire and emotion, family and spirituality. His formal education has been in business and not art. After a decade with corporate India, he started out as a full-time photographer. It was the deeply personal loss of his father that that led him to question his motivations and seek out a more meaningful way to access his world. He turned to photography. A few workshops at the ICP School have influenced the direction of his work - The Intimate Portrait with Jen Davis, Documentary Photography with Andre Lamberstson, and a Masterclass with Antoine D\'Agata.
