About Rahul Kumar
As an alumnus from IIM- C, XLRI, IIFM & BHU and practising microfinance/ climate finance professional, I am always eager to learn and explore new opportunities and trends in the financial services, green finance & sustainability. I am a director at MicroEnergy Credits, a social enterprise that works towards environment sustainability to enable access to climate finance for low-income households to help them transition their journey to net carbon neutrality. With over 16 years of experience in international development finance, I am passionate about creating positive social and environmental impact through innovative and scalable solutions.My core competencies include leading and managing large-scale projects and teams in development finance/ inclusive micro-banking, developing and implementing organizational strategies and policies, assessing and mitigating risks, building and nurturing partnerships, and delivering training and capacity building programs. I have worked with various international donor agencies, such as the World Bank, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, DFID and IFAD, in diverse and challenging contexts, such as Afghanistan, India, and Africa.
