ABOUT RAHUL KUMAR

Electrical Engineer currently working in Power System Control Department at Tata Power Northern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPNODL), supporting power distribution reliability for Northern Odisha.My day-to-day work involves reliability analysis and reporting using SAIFI, SAIDI and CAIDI, outage analysis, preparation of reliability and safety reports, and coordination with control room and field teams for corrective and preventive actions. I also work on analysing operational and maintenance data, supporting reliability improvement and fault reduction activities, and training ground teams on safe electrical operations and proper equipment handling.Earlier, I worked with Tata Power – Mumbai in the Home Automation team, where I was involved in new product and prototype development, electrical and firmware testing, site surveys, installation and commissioning, BOQ preparation with the help of engineering drawing analysis and technical documentation. I also handled pan-India technical sales engagements and site expos across multiple locations.I was additionally involved in technical training and on-ground execution support, and had the opportunity to host and manage the Tata Power Home Automation Annual Awards 2023.Overall, my experience covers product engineering, field execution and power distribution reliability, with a strong focus on safety, practical execution and continuous improvement.
