ABOUT RAHUL RAJ
I am a PhD student in Urban Studies and Planning at the University of Sheffield. As an Urban Geographer, I am interested in studying lesser-studied geographies in/of the postcolonial majority world, particularly around the questions of urban informality, infrastructures, and intersectional inequalities, injustices, and immobilities, and how these are lived, contested, and navigated by historically marginalised and stigmatised urban labouring groups.My PhD research examines the political ecologies of waste infrastructures and caste in Indian cities.
