Hi, I’m Rahul Shekhawat — a backend developer and engineering student passionate about building efficient, well-structured systems that solve real-world problems. I’m currently pursuing a B.Tech in Computer and Communication Engineering at Manipal University Jaipur, where I focus on hands-on learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement. What I Do I specialize in backend development and systems programming. I enjoy working close to the core of how things function—whether it’s building backend services or replicating how foundational tools work under the hood. Project Highlights Redis Server Implementation: Built a simplified in-memory key-value store, replicating core Redis functionality using sockets and multithreading in C. Plagiarism Detection System: Developed a tool to analyze text similarity using string matching algorithms and data preprocessing techniques. Backend Services: Designed and implemented RESTful APIs, database schemas, and authentication systems for various personal and academic projects. Who I Am I’m a driven and curious learner who enjoys solving problems and building useful tools. I believe in simplicity, clean architecture, and the power of iteration. As the former Vice President of the Panacea Club, I’ve mentored peers, led workshops, and contributed to building a vibrant tech culture on campus. Beyond Tech I’m someone who values balance—I enjoy gaming, engaging conversations, and working on things that challenge me both intellectually and creatively.
