Working as a project manager in purchasing, having 11 years of experience in supplier quality assurance, tooling development, and plastic injection molding. I have worked for companies such as Motherson and Bosch. My experience as purchasing project manager includes- Techno-commercial scouting for the components which are part of mechanical & electronic BoM of various electronic control units (incl. engine control units, anti-lock braking systems, telematics control units etc.)- Developing and implementing preventive quality assurance programs (APQP, PPAP, Control plan & PFMEA review) for purchased parts, ensuring compliance with specifications, delivery schedules and achievement of zero defect during launches- Guiding and providing support to suppliers for tool designing, corrections for dimensional achievement, 8D problem solving, measurement, molding process etc. Also, providing feedbacks for improvement- Project management for strategic sourcing initiatives, including managing multiple suppliers and coordinating with engineering & sales teams.During my previous role as a process & tooling engineer (Tool room), I had managed projects related to tool development for industries such as FMCG, white goods, electrical & consumer equipment and automotive. Preformed activities as below - Developing robust molding process and arrive at optimized process parameters through application of scientific injection molding techniques- Leading flow simulation reviews and tool design reviews from the point of view of machining, assembly, molding process- Leading troubleshooting, problem solving and tooling correction activities to achieve customer requirements- Developed a model to check effectiveness of injection molding simulation (Moldflow). It helped in reducing number of tooling correction iterations and hence reducing lead time to develop the tool- Leading cost reduction, productivity improvement measures for in-series parts (cycle time reduction, automation of essential-but-non-value-add activities). I am also passionate and have been actively involved in people engagement activities about creating a culture of empowerment where employees feel valued, respected, and recognized.
