ABOUT RAHUL SARKAR
I am an Associate Professor in the department of Materials Science and Engineering at IIT Kanpur. Prior to this, I was a Research Fellow on Casting Powders in Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG), University of Warwick. I graduated with my PhD in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, USA. Prior to joining University of Utah, I was working as a Researcher in the Steelmaking and Casting (SMC) group of Tata Steel, Research and Development in Jamshedpur, India. I have over 9 years of experience in the field of chemical metallurgy with special interests in high-temperature processing of materials, thermodynamics, solid-state diffusion, refractory interactions, mathematical modelling, chemical kinetics and mass transfer.
