About Rahul Rao
As a Distinguished Engineer at IBM focused on high performance processor design, Rahul sets the technical direction for design and methodology optimizations and innovations that fuel IBM\'s high performance processor. These processors are the foundation of the IBM\'s Power and the Z Systems, which are known for their extremely resilience, security and high performance tuned for enterprise class workloads.Rahul is the Chief Engineer for the Power Processor, and a technical executive at the India Systems Development Lab. In this role, he is responsible for defining and determining the features that are a part of the next generation processor, while also ensuring efficient execution using new age methods and design practices. Rahul is an IBM Master Inventor, and an adjunct faculty at IIT-Madras. He servers on the technical program committee of several conferences, including being the sub-committee chair for Digital Architectures and Systems at International Solid State Circuits Conference. Rahul is an alumni of the University of Michigan, and University of Mumbai.
