About Rahul Dey
It all started with an implicit decision to opt for Computer Science over Biology in 11th standard. I can still imagine the immense joy of successfully executing my first program to produce the desired output. Ever since, I liked the idea of software development to solve practical problems. I\'m a passionate programmer who believes in the power of software engineering to make the world a better place.My professional journey started with Oracle Cerner offering the role of Software Intern which soon converted into a full time Software Engineer role. With almost six years of experience as a developer, I’m responsible for designing, developing, documenting, analyzing, testing, and debugging solutions. Further, analyzing modules or features of new, existing, or upgrade solutions according to project specifications and priorities, I\'ve been proactively participating in the code reviews for our solution change. My specialties include Java, Spring, JavaScript, jQuery, WebServices (REST), SQL, JMS, JPA, HTML, CSS, etc. However, I\'m currently exploring the DevOps path to gain knowledge on Docker, Kubernetes, Github Actions and, Jenkins. Moreover, I\'ve worked with version-controlled tools like Git, Bitbucket, Accurev and Jira, and Remedy for agile project development and bug tracking.
