As an applied researcher and creative, I am passionate about creating meaningful experiences and products using insights from research, design, art and business strategy.I was most recently involved in leading an interdisciplinary research team at OYO that explored new business opportunities for Oyo’s verticals and the hospitality industry in general. Some of our notable projects include immersive booking experiences for co-working spaces, a novel olfactory sensing system and an AI platform to automate image editing and enhancement.Prior to joining Oyo, I was working with the Samsung Think Tank Team - an interdisciplinary research team with a mandate to create new business opportunities and models for Samsung. Some of the projects I contributed to included a 3D omnivew camera capable of streaming VR content in real time, vision based smart retail system and digitally generated humans that visually look and emote like a human. Our work was exhibited at several trade shows like CES, IFA and MWC and featured in online publications like WIRED, Engadget, Verge, PC Mag, CNN.com, Hackaday, TechCrunch.Before joining Samsung, I was the co-founder of Tesseract Imaging (now part of Reliance Digital), a MIT Media Lab spin-off creating products in the AR/VR space and worked at academic research labs such as HITLab-New Zealand, Mixed Reality Lab- Singapore and the MIT Media Lab. My research has been published in premier xR conferences like VR and 3DUI and I\'m listed on 7 granted patents as an inventor.
