This role is primarily responsible for the color conversion and editing of images for both digital and print versions of NGP products. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, collaborating with Art Directors and Designers on application principles. Converting and correcting images to the specifications in a markup, generating silos as needed, generating OPI images for delivery, and assembling pages for PDF review. Compose and generate final pages for proofing in both digital and printed versions. Communicate with designers and photo editors to discuss color concepts and design requirements for projects and follow through with these instructions to correct and generate pages for delivery for both digital and print versions of a product. Maintain proofing equipment and manage throughput of proofs, organize them, and prepare them for shipping as needed. Key Responsibilities:1. Meet with Design and Photographic staff to discuss and evaluate images to be processed for various publications throughout the production cycle; make recommendations and set expectations for the product. Convert and process images supplied using the appropriate software to ensure color accuracy and file formats. Cut silhouettes of objects for placement in layouts as needed. Assemble pages for PDF review and final delivery. Troubleshoot flaws and failures in design layouts and correct them. Build digital versions of projects upon completion for distribution for e-readers. Knowledge and Skill Requirements:Ability to understand and adopt Pre-press standards and workflows. Possess high-end image editing skills in both RGB and CMYK color spaces. Good command of the Adobe Creative Suite software (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator). Understanding of other office software such as Word, Excel, and Filemaker Pro.
